PIF - Pay it forward - Part 1

PIF - Pay It Forward - I´ve come across it through blogs I read (Christine, Lylou, Dana and Dallas) and finally I joined it. I think it's a great idea to have fun, meet people and make this world a little bit smaller and friendly.
Since I´m following more than one blog ( that's me, as usual) I´ll be posting it more than once, to be fair,ok?

Here it is! PIF part 1, follow the rules!

TAST 16 - Palistrina Stitch
TAST 39 - Reversed Buttonhole Bar
and the last one doesn't belong to TAST, it´s Picuru Stitch ( I couldn't find the name in English) and I´ve learned it last week.
Just one of each for now, to be a little faster in the catch up mode. But I intend to explore more of each kind. These are so beautiful stitches!

Gift from Holland

Ontem o carteiro entregou um presente especial, vindo da Holanda para mim. Suzanne, do crazy-exchange, fez esta linda almofadinha de alfinete sob medida, com libélula é tudo! Toda em ponto cruz, delicadíssima, com a base em um tecido azul que parece tingido à mão. Para combinar, uma caixinha de alfinetes azuis, um toque de delicadeza. É realmente uma delícia saber que alguém teve o trabalho, o cuidado e o carinho de fazer à mão um presente para você.

Yesterday I received a package from Holland, a very special gift, handmade by Suzanne, from crazy-exchange, for me. It´s a lovely pinkeep, cross stitched, so delicate, with a dragonfly on it! And she even sent blue pins to match with it. Handmade gift has a special flavour to me.

Redwork - Troca recebida

Recebi este bloquinho lindo em redwork na troca de agosto em um grupo que faço parte. Foi feito pela Viviane e já tem destino certo, vai virar uma almofada de coração para o quarto da T. Adorei Vivane, muito obrigada!

This lovely angel I received from a redwork swap we made in August, in a brazilian yahoogroup. It´s made by Viviane and I´ll make a pillow in a heart shape for my daughter. Thank you so much Viviane, I loved it.

TAST 1 - Take a Stitch Tuesday

Finalmente criei coragem e comecei a fazer meu livro em tecido com amostras de pontos de bordado para usar nos cursos que ofereço e para ter como referência (muito útil quando se faz crazy quilt). E para aproveitar a oportunidade, optei por seguir o Take a Stitch Tuesday Challenge, uma proposta feita pela Sharon Boggon (In a Minute Ago) de trabalhar um ponto por semana. Claro, isso começou no início do ano e já estão na 34° semana. Mesmo assim, decidi tentar alcançá-los e porque não, unir o útil ao agradável!

O TAST 1 é Herringbone Stitch, em português, Ponto Russo; em alemão, Hexenstitch ( vou tentar descobrir em francês e em italiano). Trabalhei com Cotton Perlé 5.

Finally, I took courage to begin my fabric book of stitch samples to be used in my classes and for crazy quilting inspiration. I decided to follow the Take a Sttich Tuesday Challenge from Sharon Boggon's blog, even if it´s already in the 34 week. It´s a great idea and it´s very interesting to see how creative people can be. So, I´ll try to catch them up!
